On December 7th, 2023, our Η2020 consortium gathered the various technological and scientific advancements in our research and presented them in our “X-Ray Imaging using Scintillating Fibres” webinar. Our concluding event is the culmination of our years-long work on developing a highly flexible and reusable X-ray detector.
In the webinar, the project website included presentations on the developments regarding the development of scintillating fibres (RISE Institute), photon counting electronics (TWI Hellas), 3D shape sensing (Fraunhofer HHI) and image reconstruction (University of Sheffield). The proof of concept results were also presented, and the next steps for the FleX-RAY technologies were discussed. Last, there was a Q&A session where our consortium received feedback from the webinar attendees.
